Top 5 Reasons to Visit Kaua’i
You’re looking for the tropical beauty you see in films and shows set in Hawai’i.
Kaua’i is known as the Garden Isle for a reason. As the oldest of the inhabited islands, Kauai’s had the most time since the volcanic eruptions that formed it for lush tropical plants to grow and cover the landscape. And its abundant rainfall feeds waterfalls that are visible throughout the island. The result – a tropical paradise that offers everything you might imagine when you think of Hawai’i.
You’re looking for beautiful beaches.
Maui may have a reputation for having the most beautiful beaches, but we’d argue Kauai tops them. It’s hard to describe the stunning beauty of Hanalei Bay or Tunnels Beach on the north shore. Shipwreck Beach on the south shore is a close rival.

You love adventure in addition to lazy beach days.
Kauai has some of the best hiking in the world, and it’s the only island where you can kayak or SUP on rivers as well as the ocean. And while Oahu is known for surfing, there are plenty of places to catch some waves on Kauai, including on a surf board, kite board, or boogie board.
You love underwater adventure, like snorkeling and scuba.
Kauai has some of the largest reefs in the Hawaiian islands. In fact, the reef off Tunnels Beach can be seen from space! There is no shortage of great snorkeling and scuba, and most can be accessed right from the beach.
You don’t love crowds.
Kauai is the least populated and least developed of the four main Hawaiian islands. Consequently, you’ll find less crowded beaches, restaurants, and resorts than the other islands. The downside for some is there is less late night activity. If you want nightlife, you probably want to visit Oahu or Maui instead.
